Hi,

I studied and subsequently worked as a permanent tenure employee (academic) at the Saga University (National), Saga, Japan and I totally disagree with the inclusion of my University in your black list. As there are several foreign academic staff on permanent and tenure basis, I don't feel that your argument has any validity. Further, the difficulty in getting a permanent academic position in a Japanese University (even for a Japanese National) must be taken into account with the small percentage of foreigners getting qualified from Japanese Universities.

Hope that you will amend your lists appropriately.
Regards,
Preethi

Hello Dr Preethichandra. Will you be willing to act as a primary source to
say that there are tenured non-Japanese at Saga for the Greenlist? If so, I
will put Saga up on the Greenlist as well.

As for the Blacklist, it is an established fact that Saga Dai contracts
(some, clearly) of its foreign faculty. Whether or not they received
"qualifications" (I assume you mean academic degrees) from Japanese
universities is irrelevant. I don't know from where you were graduated, but
I bet you (as a faculty member in U of Southern Queensland) would not argue
that only people with degrees from Australian universities can get tenure in
an Australian university. A degree is a degree, transferrable, and
foreignness in itself has nothing to do with qualifications. Saga Dai stays
up on the Blacklist until it abolishes its contract positions for foreign
faculty.

I will adjust the Greenlist upon hearing of your willingness to act as a
primary source on behalf of Saga Dai.

Blacklist of Japanese Universities
